Caught On Cam: Virat Kohli Blasts Australian Media Waiting To Film His Kids Vamika And Akaay? Here’s The Truth

Ahead of the fiery Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, Australia, Virat Kohli’s arrival at the airport ended up in a heated exchange with the media even as Channel 7’s cameras tried to capture the Indian superstar. The fiery batsman approached the media personnel and shared his concern with being filmed. Kohli expressed that he was bothered about his kids Vamika and Akaay being captured on cam, which is an absolute no-no. He remarked,

With my kids, I need some privacy

You can’t film without asking me.

While his kids can’t be filmed without the explicit concern, Kohli as a public persona in a public space can be. Once the Channel 7 media team clarified that they were not trying to film Kohli’s kid, the former Indian captain calmed down. He even went ahead and even shook hands with the Channel 7 cameraman. However, the desi netizens and a handful of influencers are unashamedly giving a jingoistic spin to the narrative, slamming the Australian media for intruding on Kohli’s family privacy. While the truth is farther than fiction and closer home, it is even uglier where the media goes berserk for a glimpse of Kohli kids.

But who cares for the truth these days? Unless embellished. G-d save this nation!
