This anti-tipping YouTuber who recently received flak for creating furor for having to tip in American hotels engaged in his usual behavior again, presumably for engagement farming, with his latest X/Twitter post. The “why should I pay extra?” crusader spent an excess of Rs 10,000 (his hard-earned money—no hate) on a basic veg meal (comprising of dal, a couple paneer dishes) at one of the priciest ITC-owned outlets in Mumbai.

The content creator shared the tab (on a digital tab) for the followers on X/Twitter showing the breakdown—that literally sent many on the bird app on a ranting frenzy, and appropriately so. The 23-year-old college dropout remarked, “Restaurants, take note,” in his viral post that he appended with the image of the luxury spread of delicacies and the menu from Peshawari ITC-Maratha, Mumbai. Excluding the CGST (Rs 765) and SGST (Rs 765), the bill for Paneer Khurchan (Rs 2900), Dal Bukhara (Rs 1200), Pudina Paratha (Rs 1125), Khasta Roti (Rs 375), and Paneer Makhani (Rs 2900) seems like some pensioner’s entire life savings, amounting to Rs 10,030 only!

More than the hefty bill for a basic paneer dish, the netizens were outraged at the relentless anti-tipping rant of the boy. “Classism comes naturally to the desis,” quipped one, while another user jibed, “Using an ITC flagship hotel to push anti-tipping agenda.” Several users argued, “Paying 2900 for paneer, of course there are no service charges.” Common sense, no? “Thank G-d he is not a financial influencer,” remarked one netizen, while another wondered, “Who pays Rs 6000 for a bit of paneer?” One user commented, “Kesa ***** aadmi hai 3000 ka paneer kha lega par 500 tip dene mein jaan jale ja rahi hai!”
