Abhay Deol Lookalike Competition Held In Delhi, Winner Took Home Rs 500 Cash Prize, 2 Packs Of Chewing Gum

Earlier this year, a Timothee Chalamet look-alike competition was held in Central Park and the trend went viral after the actor himself showed up for the same. It was soon picked up by fans of other actors and more look-alike competitions for Drake, Bernie Sanders, Harry Styles, Zendaya, and others cropped up around the world. Desi fans have also caught up on the same as an Abhay Deol lookalike competition was held in Delhi.

The competition held in Delhi’s Hauz Khas Park did not see the actor show up but the photos from the same have gone viral. Shared by a cinephile Instagram account Films From Underground has hosted the event and also announced a Rs 500 prize money as well as three film screening tickets and two packets of chewing gum for the winner.

Video shared by the account showed a glimpse of different lookalikes. A man turned up in all black referencing to Abhay’s latest thirst traps on Instagram. Another person was sported a black eye, which reportedly is a callback to the time the actor turned up to an awards show after taking a beating.

However, the winner’s photo was shared by the organisers and he was a guy in a yellow sweater sporting a messy mullet look.

On the other hand, Timothée Chalamet had made a surprise appearance at his own look-alike competition which has already drawn hundreds of onlookers. The actor posed for photos as well and did not end up winning the competition. Meanwhile, the chaos led to a dispersal order from police, at least one arrest and the organizers were slapped with a $500 fine for an “unpermitted costume contest.”
