Finding a good keyboard can be essential to maximizing your workflow or gameplay, and recently, I have found that the Keychron Q1 Max is the perfect mechanical keyboard for both purposes. A mechanical keyboard can add a satisfying and aesthetic edge to your computer setup, and thanks to Keychron’s holiday sale, you can get one for $37 off its original price on Amazon or Keychron’s website

The keyboard is truly super durable and reliable. Its metal base solidifies its quality. When you set it down on your desk, it has a surprising bulk and presence and is not easily knocked over. My cats love to mess with my desk, and they have not been able to move it once. It easily connects to your Windows or Mac device by Bluetooth, USB-C, or USB connection.

It comes fully assembled with three different switch type options: Gatreon Jupiter Red, Gatreon Jupiter Brown, and Gatreon Jupiter Banana. My testing unit came with the Gatreon Jupiter Banana switch, which gives the typing experience a bubble-wrap feel. The keyboard and keycaps themselves are also available in different colorways: Carbon Black, Shell White, and Purple.

Overall, the Keychron Q1 Max improves my productivity, has great quality, and adds a pleasant aesthetic to my work environment. As someone who identifies as a casual gamer, the mechanical keyboard reacted well with unconventional first-person shooter games like Overwatch and Fortnite and served equally as well when playing Roblox with my kid cousins.

If you are looking to give a gift to the WFH professional or aesthetic gamer in your your life, give the Keychron Q1 Max a shot. Take it from me, it’s a great way to spruce up your desk.
